Luo TianHan and several other children with cataracts in the area are awaiting operations. If we can act in time their eye sight will be saved. |

HAND operates in the Pihe County of Nujiang State in China’s Yunnan Province, south of Tibet and west of Burma. Where possible we provide patients with life saving or life changing operations, as well as the means to access medical care.

| In addition we give health education in the area so that local minority people are able to do all they can to protect the health of themselves and their families. |
| We do this with minimal funds as all of our volunteers pay their own expenses. |

In January of 09 HAND was lucky to team up with MCC, a music charity who as well as giving a number of concerts in the area, gave health lessons to women in the area. |

| In October of 08, students from BiGuiYuan in Guangdong conducted hygiene classes in and around the Pihe area. They reported that students in schools we had visited previously were much cleaner than before and able to recall the lessons given to them. |
