July to August 2004:

Jeff, HAND's most valued volunteer, an American teacher with a high level of medical competency first visited HAND's Clinic. During this trip, Jeff managed to break down many of the cultural boundaries that existed in the acceptance of western medical practice as well as furthering the training of our local village doctors.

November 2004:

Volunteers Tony Richmond & Wendy Lin, together with some of Tony's students from Biguiyuan IB School visited patients in Zhi Zi Luo and made arrangements for them Wu Xiao Zheng

to be taken to Liu Ku Hospital to have the first of her operations.

La Xiao Yun, (scoliosis of the spine and chronic tuberculosis) was taken to Kunming Hospital and took life saving medication for one year.

Volunteer students from GD Biguiyuan IB School teaching hygiene to Zhi Zi Luo's primarily school students.
